So I have this headcanon that John is/ was extremely vanilla at the beginning of the relationship - he asked Rose out, but she had to suggest it first. Rose is fine with it for a bit but after four months he hasn’t even taken her hand yet so one day she just kisses him on the mouth. John goes beet red and leaves the room. They don’t talk for 24 hours but when they see each other again they both apologize and John hugs her and picks her up and she kisses him again… on the cheek this time.Also my headcanon singing voice for John is Adam Young (Owl City) and he’ll sometimes serenade Rose with Alligator Sky. Once, though, he started singing Fireflies and Rose made the little balls of light that looked like fireflies and John decided it would be a GREAT IDEA to create a gust of wind to blow them around the area. Who knew balls of light were so flammable?
