the train scene in episode 8 of madoka is so good
i mean the entire episode is great, one of the best by far (second to 12 and 10)
but like, the atmosphere had been steadily going downhill for quite some time but then the train and the two guys dialogue juxtaposed against the chiaroscuro and and

but a lot of the people who reblog it get way into the whole thing

all of the troll dudes are more likeable in the actual comic than i remember which is always a pleasant surprise
but fanon interpretation + over-saturation just turns me off to them
plus the Vriska/Terezi/Aradia relations are a hundred times more fascinating than, say, Eridan and Sollux
